UFWDA has submitted written comments to the Coconino National Forest

UFWDA has submitted written comments to the Coconino National Forest pertaining to its notice of intent to prepare an Outfitter-Guide Management Plan for the Red Rock Ranger District (Sedona Area, AZ).

Several problems with the proposed action, as well as suggestions for change for improvements and development of 4x4 friendly alternatives, are proposed by UFWDA. Of particular concern are proposed actions requiring non-fee permits for private motor vehicle use in the area.

UFWDA opposes single use permit systems because they can not be successfully implemented, limit travel too drastically, and the agency lacks legal authority to utilize them.
