U.S. FOREST SERVICE OHV ROUTE DESIGNATION RULE

On July 15, 2004 the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) proposed a new rule to amend regulations regarding travel management in our National Forests to clarify its policy related to motor vehicle use, including OHV use.

As soon as the public was notified that a proposed rule was being drafted by the USFS, UFWDA began partnering with other motorized recreation organizations to develop a unified approach for acceptable OHV management.

Here you will find a collection of related documents throughout the development of this rule.
