UFWDA is pleased to announce the appointment of new board members!

United Four Wheel Drive Associations is pleased to announce the appointment of Jim Mazzola III, as our new Public Relations Director, Bob DeVore, as our new Treasurer and Richard Drechsel as our new Director of Environmental Affairs and to reintroduce to you our Membership Director, Clair Kauffman. UFWDA has filled the vacant board positions in the past months and is looking forward to what these gentlemen bring to the organization.UFWDA is excited to have new board members that have over 100 years experience combined in the four wheel drive community.

Jim Mazzola III has been involved in the four wheel drive community for many years and has served on the Board of Directors for United Four Wheel Drive Associations over twenty years ago in the 1980’s as the Director of Environmental Affairs. Jim has since served as a Delegate to UFWDA for the Great Lakes Four Wheel Drive Associations where he has served as President, Vice President, Membership Director, Secretary, and Treasurer. Jim says “My decision to return to the Board was based on the belief that we should all give back to the Association that has done so much for us as recreational enthusiasts.”

Bob DeVore began his involvement with the four wheel drive community over forty years ago. Bob has been very active in the political arena on both a local and state level. Bob’s activism transferred to his children with a son and daughter serving as Senatorial and Congressional Aids. Bob is very involved with his state organization and brings a great deal of professionalism and assets to the board. Bob says “I believe in the mission of UFWDA and believe that without UFWDA we would experience more losses of access than what we are already experiencing”

Richard has been active as a four wheel drive enthusiast for over 34 years and brings a wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for the sport. Richard will be working closely with Carla Boucher, Land Use Attorney for United Four Wheel Drive Associations, on a communication plan for our members to stay informed of what is happening on the National level. Richard also plans to open the lines of communication with the local Land Use Directors to keep a dialogue open with UFWDA. Richard says “UFWDA works hard to keep the trails open for all of us to enjoy and I am looking forward to helping support the cause.”

Clair Kauffman has been appointed as the Membership director for United Four Wheel Drive Associations and has done a great job so far. Clair brings with him a great knowledge of the four wheel drive community and many years of service on the local and state levels. Clair has served as the Membership Director and Treasurer for PA Jeeps and Treasurer for the Middle Atlantic Four Wheel Drive Associations. Clair says “United’s members share a desire to enjoy our country’s great outdoors and to maintain it as natural and pristine as possible. We at UFWDA wish to insure that our members accomplish that goal.”

United Four Wheel Drive Associations is excited about the future with our new PR Director, Treasurer, Director of Environmental Affairs and Membership Director.
