Hello All,
We need all hands on deck the weekend of 08/11/2007 at the Tellico OHV area.

There is a bunch of work that is still needed to be completed as soon as possible and Gunner Byrd/Griff Shirley has asked for all the help www.SFWDA.org can pull together.

Please post this notice to all club sites and all your web pages on the interweb, heck email all your club members and your friends.
Questions or Volunteers - Please feel free to shoot me an email, I will respond as soon as possible (On the road this week).

This is the “Must attend” work weekend event of 2007 for all of us.

We need the following:
•        Work gloves
•        Trash bags
•        Shovels
•        Chain saws (if you are certified)
•        Welders (if you are certified)
•        A few ATV’s

Happy Trails,
Greg Griffith

I also posted this over on the Pirate4X4 forum.  They have a section in their land use for Tellico.

Anything to help since I can not be there.

Thanks, Todd.  I'm not registered on Pirate, so I appreciate that.

Most of the trail maintenance that has been done recently was done with heavy equipment.  We've hauled another 200 tons of surge stone, etc.  But, now we need some manual labor.

Thanks again.  Cool

We have a couple of warm bodies headed up Sunday from the upstate.

See you then.

I guess we couldn't have asked for better weather on Sunday!!!

I'm impressed with the amount of effort put forth by SFWDA! They really have a huge investment in the ORV area.

We all owe you a big thanks.

I'm happy to help. I'll give as many man hours as possible.

Dave

How did the work weekend go?
Hope you had enough bodies to move all the rock and other work you needed done, get completed.

If you have an after action report, that would be good.  We can possibly get it in the e-News this month if you have that report today or tomorrow.

I was unable to go.  I had a prior committment that required my presence on the Royal Blue OHV trails last weekend.  The work weekend was called with 5 days notice.

Sorry... Sad

I was there only on Sunday.
From what we talked about with Gregg, many tasks were addressed and some even completed over the weekend. We did use all the material there was for the guardrail project at the top of 9.
There is still alot of work to do, another 'emergency' day may be required.   Cool

The deadline for the next Voice is September 8th.  This would be a great opportunity for more exposure on what is being done.  It would be great if someone could write a story on the work that has been and still needs to be done.  Articles and pictures (as well as any questions or comments) can be sent to editor@ufwda.org.  Please send pictures in actual size, not compressed or resized.  They can be sent in several e-mails if necessary because of size.

Thanks,
