It has been roughly six months since we launched the forum and we have

received over 500 responses, each offering an interesting and unique
perspective. We have compiled all the responses and have started to
see some trends and patterns. We have also begun to develop a website

to present the findings from the forum and to allow you to add
comments and perspectives to the discussion. Our hope is that the
format of the website will lead to discussion and dialog about this
topic.

Until the website is up and running, we would like to share some of
our initial findings with you. We have prepared a summary that can be

viewed at:
http://www.uvm.edu/tourismresearch/publications/Public_Access_Fact_Sheet_7-12-07.pdf

We will continue to update you on the status of the website, results
from our upcoming mail survey, and roundtables planned for next year.

If you have any questions or would like additional information, please

feel free to contact Shawn Geoffroy at tourismresearch@uvm.edu or
(802)656-0623.

Sincerely,
Tom Brown, Cornell University
