Sorry... I have to agree with the food comments. We (PA Jeeps) and the others in “M” group had a great time, very little carnage, BIG Pucker Factor from Keith, our Trail Leader, but W/O a “little Shocked" the ride would be boringgggg. Keith, Ron, Chris did a GREAT JOB keeping everyone safe and making sure they had a good time. Mission Accomplished!
Whenever someone needs an new Tie Dyed shirt in… say 20 years, I'll have one NIB. A Dash Plague would have been cool. The Kids obstacle course was a hoot. They seemed to have a good time rolling over rocks, logs and people's toes Roll Eyes (JK).
THANKS!! to everyone involved, for all the hard work they did so “We” could have a good time. And I think I can safely say, Everyone did. Oak Ridge is one of my favorites. Can't wait till the next event there!

The event was great overall and we had a fantastic time.  I didn't see a thread for feedback yet, so I'll add mine here and copy it later if need be.

I am used to the VA4WD annual runs there at Oak Ridge, so I won't try to compare it to that.  But there were a couple things I experienced that could be improved upon IMO.
-Not a huge deal, but tie dye shirts aren't a favorite for most people.

-The food was flat out horrible.  $15 for a meal was well overpriced for sub par chicken and half a scoop of mac & cheese.  I do realize feeding that many people is a challenge, but I'd rather have had that amount deducted from my admission fee and then let us decide if we want to bring our own food or buy a meal ticket for a catered dinner.  Ok, I'll compare this one to the VA annual, extra tickets are only $5, there is more than enough to eat and we have leftovers, can go back as many times as you want, and the variety is much better, especially with the drinks.

-We all noticed everyone left before the band had a chance to get going.  I think having the raffle and the band at a campsite would have went smoother.  Or maybe they should have played before the raffle during dinner.  People ran out of beer before the band started.   Shocked

Even with that said, I appreciate all the hard work and time that was put in by a lot of people from United and other organizations.  I went primarily to wheel and make new friends, which were both accomplished.  Hopefully it was successful on your end.

I always enjoy 'wheeling with my friends at Oak Ridge! It is difficult to compare this event to the Annuals we throw. While they are starting to resemble Burning Man or Woodstock, we do have some fun. The true success will be the next 'Wheel In and what this one did for the bottom line. Suggestions....camping on site, band in camp, family camping area, fresh food.

I had a really good time. This was the first time I have ridden the Oak Ridge trails and new dirt is always great. I think the weather made the trails very good, rain just when I needed it to make the hill climb interesting. A few more challenges would have been nice, but the scenery was great. John and Debra were excellent trail leaders and made the event even more enjoyable. The organization was very good; Galen did a great job organizing the groups. I expected to see more vendors since it was a United event, maybe I am spoiled by the Dixie Run. The Raffle was OK (won nothing as usual) and the food was really, really bad. Thank goodness the portions were so small to keep me from eating much of it. I hope to attend another one, I can only see it getting better in the future

Sounds like everyone had a really good time on the trails, and some great trail guides provided by Chris and Carla.

Sorry that the food was not as good as it could have been.

I can tell you that Marti put a lot of time into organizing this event, and she deserves 99.9% of the credit for getting this event rolling, and wanting to make this something that UFWDA hosts/organizes in the future.  I am looking forward to the first one on the west coast so I can get a tie-dyed shirt also.  Not my favorite design look, but it fits into our grassroots theme.

Thanks to all that attended, and made this a great event.
