Does anyone have experience with the implementation of a Scenic ByWay?  My favorite chicken little is telling anyone who'll listen that we'll "lose our trails" if the Byway is started in Ocala.

Anyone?

Hi Jennifer!

If you get info, could you pass it along.
There are a TON of old 'undeveloped' county roads in Michigan that I've wondered might be able to benfit from this designation.

Would this assist in keeping an easment 'undeveloped'?

http://www.funoutdoors.com/coalitions/scenicbyways

and

http://www.byways.org

Check those two sites for additional information about the scenic byways program.

Personally,I beleive there are opportunities that can be leveraged into a 4x4 trail experience.  Granted, it may not fall within the "challenging opportunity" class; however, there does need to be a balance of opportunity to keep a variety.
