Welcome to the 3rd Annual Offroad Fundraiser of the Maryland Rock Raiders
September 27th and 28th, 2008 to be held at Rausch Creek Offroad Park in PA

This is our 3rd year in raising funds to benefit the research and development for a cure of diabetes, it is hoped to be as success as our past 2 events. Important to most of us, who stand united in a common cause for the less fortunate other than just wheeling. We all know of a friend, relative or co-worker that has diabetes, this event is for their cause. Diabetes claims many lives, knows no ages or gender and it changes our lives in a way that makes living a hardship along with challenging the survivors and their families. New technology is close to figuring out the cause but the fight must continue until we as a society have annihilated this dreadful disease. Join us in a gallant cause and become a champion for the Diabetes Association.

The Event Fees
We are charging a fee of 55 dollars for one day and 100 dollars for both Saturday and Sunday. This fee can be modified by those who legitimately hold an annual pass to the Rock Creek Off Road Park in PA. With our understanding that the annual fee is based of 25 dollars per day fee, you will deduct that money from our fundraiser event fee and pay the difference. All others pay the noted fee for the event. This fees is per vehicle and driver, therefore, passengers have an additional fee of 10 dollars. With documents a child under the age of 13 may enter at no additional charge. Your fee covers the entry to the park and a modest donation to the fundraiser.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSATNCES ARE YOU TO DRINK AND DRIVE. LIQOUR IS PROHIBITED ON THE TRAILS; IF YOU ARE FOUND TO BE DRINKING AND DRIVING YOU WILL BE ESCORTED OUT OF THE PARK, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Trails, Guides and Spotters

GREEN TRAILS: People who do not know their way about the park or have a stocked vehicle will be placed in Green rated trails. This group is open to all who wish to learn and minimize any damage to their vehicle.

BLUE TRAILS: People who own modified vehicles and wish to challenge their skills, rig and don’t mind some damage may use this trial. However, you must have the following as a minimum: 33” tires or better, 2” lift or better, at least one locker and all appropriate safety gear. Damage may be sustainable on some trails, some offer by passes. Use at your own risk!

BLACK & RED TRAILS: People who own a heavily modified rig, with 35” tires or better, lockers front and rear, properly equipped rig for hard terrain and difficult elements and understand that damage is eminent, may join this group.  Participate at your own risk and use caution!

Our club guides and spotters have amassed a great deal of knowledge on these trails and you can say we practically live at Rausch Creek. As a result we know the park well, have experience  in mostly all the trails and have had our share of damages, by the same token we have come to know how to overcome most of the obstacles you will encounter. Our guides and spotters will do their best to ensure your safety and good time. This also means that the trail guide is the leader of the group and the spotter his or her second.

You are a guest of the Event and most importantly of the Rausch Creek park organization; therefore, we demand your assistance in following the guides’ instructions at all times. If you can not follow their instructions or you become a serious nuisance, disrespectful or found to be practicing unsafe behavior in the group, you will be asked to leave the group and return to the main office or depart the park. (The fees are not refundable).

The Rausch Creek Offroad Park has generously provided for this event to be held at their location, all their rules and guideline are in effect during the event and you are participating at your own risk.  Therefore, the Maryland Rock Raiders nor the Rausch Creek Park or their staff members are NOT responsible for any damages sustain by your rig, you or your passengers. It is up to you to exercise caution and vigilance in safety at all times.
