A reminder that the next Voice editorial deadline is 8 September 2007 , which means you've got to act now if you want to get your message out to the members and the 4x4 world.

For this issue there is an aim to show that four wheeling is enjoyed by females too. Is there someone in your organization who deserves being written about? If so please do it.
Material as usual to  editor@ufwda.org

Time to wake this thread again!

The deadline for the September 2008 Voice material is 25 September.
The basic theme for this edition is Off Highway adventures.

Your chance to tell your recent adventure story... just do it before 25 Sept.

Just read through Q3 2008 issue, and had a question.  In the segment titles "Four Wheelers as Environmentalists", the first weekend in October is the UFWDA community service project day, but this falls very late in the year for our wheeling opportunities in some areas as the snow likes to fly when it wants to.  I would love to revise and submit a story about our trail work on the Morrison Jeep Trail from last month, as it was a significant project on a long trail with few volunteers showing up to help out.  It's an awesome trail system that the forest service has come to rely on our community to help keep it open as their resources are stretched far too thin.  This particular trail would not have opened at all this year (and even opened a month late due to some mis-communication with another volunteer in the area), and damage we would have had to clear out would have been far worse than this summer's efforts would have taken care of.

Am I able to submit a story on this event to coincide with your desired October event stories?  Magic City 4-Wheelers is a club under the M4x4A organization membership.

Absolutely, Brian, please submit any stories you would like...we always welcome them.  If it turns out we end up with too much for an issue (that would be awesome! Shocked), then we will run the time sensitive ones first, then in the order we received them.  If an article doesn't make it because of space issues, it will definitely run in the next issue.

Would you be able to get an article to me this week?  If we are talking for the next issue, that deadline date is December 15th.  Articles should be sent to editor@ufwda.org.  Pictures should be sent in original form and size and you can send several e-mails if needed because of e-mail size.

Thanks,
Chris
