Keith,
You're using the NOAA forecast for Shipman. That's like 1/4 mile away!
I recall on several occasions trail groups up on the hill gettin' different weather than those down in the hollars.

I'm only worried about the hollers. It can rain on the trails, I want the racetrack to be dry.

Do you know where you are going? Marti asked me to post up some directions...
Directions from the north, east and west:
1. Get to Charlottesville, VA. at the intersection of I-64 and Route 29 the easiest way for you.
2. Take Route 29 south (32+ miles) past Lovingston, VA.
3. Turn left onto Route 653 and go 1/2 mile.
4. The Wheel-in site entrance is on the right at the intersection of Route 653 and Route 688, by the statue of Atlas.
Directions from the south:
1. Get to Lynchburg, VA. the easiest way for you.
2. Take Route 29 north (27+ miles) past Colleen, VA.
3. Turn right onto Route 653 and go 1/2 mile.
4. The Wheel-in site entrance is on the right at the intersection of Route 653 and Route 688, by the statue of Atlas.

Rain in the forecast. The positive side of rain/snow is less traction. Less traction = Less chance of breaking something in the driveline! Winches will get a workout for sure.
Is there a place on site that we can get potable water from to use while cooking/camping?
