We have been off road through the Rockies in Colorado and the desert in Arizona, Southern California, Nevada and Utah. For direstion we have always found a lot of great trail guide books that detailed all of these areas. We were hoping to head north to go wheeling through Wyoming, Idaho, Montana or the Dakotas. I can't find any good off road guide books or maps that would direct to any public trails in these areas. Any suggestions for trail guides or places to try?

Contact local clubs in those states or pick up topo maps showing jeep trails.
