From recreation to “wreckreation,” there is a battle going on between the Colorado Off Highway Vehicle Coalition (COHVCO) and the Colorado Board of Parks and Outdoor Recreation.

A lawsuit was filed alleging illegal diversion of funds from fees paid by OHV riders. Clubs such as Responsible Trails America and Colorado Mountain Club were trying to gain access to over $3 million dollars in funds and divert the money for trail closures. OHV riders pay fees to be used specifically for trail maintenance.
