This is from the Forest Service in an email to those on their distrubution lists.
Thanks so much to all of you that were able to participate this past week in our OHV informational meetings. Forest Supervisor Ed Cole and District Rangers Dave Martin and Ray Porter very much appreciated you
participation. This is a very important planning process that will
designate a system of roads and trails for motorized use in the Sierra
National Forest and your involvement is essential.
For those who were not able to attend the informational meetings, there were numerous questions asked at the meetings. We will post a list of those questions and answers on our website in the next week for your
review. If there are any additional questions that you have, please send
them to me and I will include them with the questions and answers
If you would like to bookmark our website here is the address:
http://www.fs.fed.us/r5/sierra/projects/ohv/index.shtml. As we go through this planning process we will be posting information and maps to this site.
Just a note that the maps currently on the web page are not the updated
versions that we displayed at the meetings this week. We hope to have
those up in the next couple of weeks.
Again, we appreciate all of your efforts and look forward to working with you to designate a motorized vehicle system for the Sierra National Forest.
