FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEWisconsin Off-Highway Vehicle Recreation Unity Meeting
Saturday – May 19, 2007
Dino’s Restaurant, 2900 New Pinery Road
The Wisconsin Four Wheel Drive Association, Wisconsin Off-Highway Vehicle Association
, Wisconsin Observed Trials Association, American Motorcyclist Association District 16 and the National Off-Highway Vehicle Conservation Council will conduct a one-day unity meeting on Saturday, May 19, 2007 at Dino’s Restaurant in Portage.
The meeting is a next-step action, following the WI OHV Organizational Development Workshop conducted on April 14 in Portage. The unanimous decision of the 31 attendees of the workshop was to move forward to build the OHV community’s cooperative efforts and their voice throughout the Wisconsin. The Portage attendees, with representatives from all OHV recreation interests, developed comments to the WI Department of Natural Resources Proposed Rule on Use of DNR Properties and the Forest County Badgerland OHV Park proposal, developed ideas for a statewide education outreach program, and discussed effective association development and management.
