Tammy

There is a land use conference on Friday.  If you can bring info on what has gone right, and the current issues you are still facing, or currently working on would be nice.

I will be hosting this I think with Peter, and I am taking a lot of notes, and hope that we can help other associations with issues.
Basically put our heads together, and pick out all the good parts that work, and apply them as we need to different areas.

Todd

Great, thank you. I will see what I can pull together.

Typically there is an Association Report given and/or printed.  There was a posting on one of the Forums regarding the Reports.  Probably past the deadline for United to include it, but you could still bring/make copies to distribute at the appropriate time.

Depending on your scheduled arrival/departure time and your interests, I believe there may be seats available to ride along on some of the trails, if you are so inclinded.  We will have the back seat of our Grand available on some of the days.

Thank you very much. I will be arriving on the 25th and departing on the 28th. I have a newbie one year old at home and this will be the longest mommy has been away and daddy is flying solo.  Grin  I appreciate the offer though.

We are arriving sometime late on the 21st, and was going to just run around Grand Junction for a couple of days prior to any of the meetings beginging.

We are taking the train (Amtrak) to Grand Junction, and it should be a fun ride over, other then long.

See you all there.

Tammy,   I understand, been there, done that, many years ago.  Have faith, Dad will do OK.

Say Hello to Roger B and ?? Robin ??, can't remember the gal's,  name we met them at TN last year.

Todd,   Where you getting on the train at?

We did the train a few years ago from OH to Denver and rented a 4x4 and went north to the Rodeo in Cheyenne, WY.

We are also scheduled to arrive on the 21st.  Look me up if you're interested in riding along, some days my wife stays back and enjoys the motel while I enjoy the trails and then there is always the back seat of the Grand.

See ya all in GJ!

Doug

We are getting on the train here in California.  We will catch the California Zepher in Sacramento after taking the local Amtrak from near Fresno Ca.
We will have like 26 hours on the train.

I will have my laptop loaded with movies for us to watch, and I will work on some presentations for convention.
Then I need to write some other articles for future things.

See you there.

Tammy and all:

There is a period of time reserved for association reports during the annual meeting.  Elsewhere on the forums you were notified of an opportunity to provide a written report for the annual report.  If you unable to take advantage of that oppourtunity you may find it very helpful to make a short presentation on your organization during the "reports" section of the annual meeting.

You should also bring a copy of the current UFWDA by-laws and Standard Operating Procedures.  Both of which can be found here:
http://www.ufwda.org/pdfs/UFWDA_Bylaws_July_2005.pdf
http://www.ufwda.org/pdfs/UFWDA_SOP_July_2005.pdf

Having these in hand will not only help you know how UFWDA operates currently, it will help you understand the proposed changes if you know where we're coming from.

You should also bring a copy of the annual report, or parts of it that you would like to discuss.
http://www.ufwda.org/smf/index.php?topic=1008.0

You may also bring the presentation for hosting the 2008 annual meeting in Nashua, NH if you would like.  You posted your presentation on this website at:
http://www.ufwda.org/smf/index.php?topic=329.0
But you might find it helpful to bring information to the meeting as well.  That's entirely up to you.

Don't forget to bring lots of energy, a sense of humor, and patience too.  Grin

Ahhh...you are not yet accustomed to my anal compulsion for being organized.  Grin Grin Grin

I already have set aside the by-laws, business plan, and our 2008 proposal to bring with me.  Smiley I am working on a short report and apologize that I did not make the deadline for submitting a formal Annual Report. We have had some jumbling of delegates and I was just recently added to the delegate list by our Association.

I know you addressed this to everyone but just wanted to reply on my status. I have never been to Colorado so I am looking forward to the trip. NTM this will be my first real time away since the birth of my daughter last July and I intend to take advantage of that.

Tammy, then I hope you take some time to look around - while Grand Junction is a great place it is high desert and not "the Colorado" of people's dreams.... Some of the trail rides and such get to the beautiful places.
