GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. - The Bureau of Land Management is asking the public to help as it begins a comprehensive look at travel management within the Glenwood Springs and Kremmling field offices in northwestern Colorado.

BLM will be hosting a series of "trails and routes data collection workshops" in June to give the public the opportunity to review its road and trail inventory for completeness and accuracy, as well as offer suggestions for possible re-routes or new routes that would complement the existing system.

"We really want to hear from the people who are out using our roads and trails," said Jamie Connell, Field Management for the Glenwood Springs Field Office. "Ensuring our inventory is accurate is the first step in developing a comprehensive travel management plan."

The travel management plans are being developed as the two field offices revise their Resource Management Plans, or RMPs. The RMPs will provide overall management direction for the next two decades for the 567,000-acre Glenwood Springs Field Office and the 378,000-acre Kremmling Field Office.

The workshops will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at the dates and locations below:
