Syracuse to open new Sand Dune Park
« on: June 21, 2007, 01:07:08 pm »
July 4 will be the grand opening of the newest attraction in Kansas. With 1,300 acres dedicated to providing excellent sand dunes and ATV trails, this park will quickly become a favorite spot for off-road enthusiast throughout the midwest.

The city of Syracuse, located at the western edge of Kansas, is fortunate to have incredible sand dunes created by the Arkansas River thousands of years ago. In addition, there is an excellent sand lake that eventually will be stocked with fish.

Join several thousand other ATV and Dune Buggy families for a fun time. The saying for the park is, "It may be dirty, but it sure is fun."

Events planned for September and October include ATV races, ATV drags and a dune buggy "car show." This park will be open 24 hours for some exciting day riding and some outstanding night riding.

After July 4, the park will be open every day with special events on the weekends.

Areas will be designated for beginner riders, young children and for sand blasting experienced riders. A park entrance fee is only $5 per vehicle. Season passes are available.
