Hi everyone,

We are having our first of many work weekends for trail building, mapping, and maintenance for Camp Jeep Wisconsin Saturday May 13th.  We hope to be marking the new routes and clearing them.  Plan on doing more hiking than driving in search of obstacles hidden in the woods.  We also have some repairs to existing trails we must get started on.  There will not be any open trail riding.

There is camping and hotels available if anyone is interested @ www.roadamerica.com, visitors center/camping and lodging.  You will need to make arrangements on your own.

We will meet at the staging area at 8 a.m., Road America, Saturday morning May 13th.  Staging area for all work weekends will be Gate 3 off of Cty Hwy J @ Road America.  We will have more details there of the day's events.  We will be done Saturday at 5 p.m.  Sunday we will start again at 8 a.m., and be done by 2 p.m.  Bring lunch, and be gassed up and aired down so we can get started quickly.  Bring your GPS, shovels, rakes, cutters, gloves, chain saws, etc.  Please bring your safety gear for your equipment, too.  One thing I cannot stress enough out there is safety.  The property owners are all very safety conscious, and so are we.  PLEASE BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS, AND WHO IS AROUND YOUR WORK AREA WHILE USING A CHAINSAW.  We do not want any accidents.

Please e-mail or call me at 9erscruiser@centurytel.net / (920)667-4940 with your name, vehicle make, vehicle model, and vehicle tag# that you will be driving.  If you use a tow rig to get your vehicle to Elkhart Lake, please send me the make/model/tag# for your tow rig as well.  I must have this information prior to the work weekend because I am obligated to report our information to each of the property owners so they know who is legitimate and who is not.  If you are not on my list you do not have permission to be on the properties.

Please e-mail me by 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 10th 2006 if you plan to attend the May 13-14th work weekend.  Please place camp jeep and the work weekend date in the subject space.  Please do not show up "unannounced".

Legal stuff:
As with all activities for Camp Jeep Wisconsin, there will be absolutely ZERO TOLERANCE for alcohol in your vehicle on the trails, or any illegal substance at any place on the properties. Violators will be removed from the trails and escorted from the properties. NO exceptions.
The Camp Jeep Wisconsin trails are all located on private property. Please respect the rights of the property owners. We are allowed on the properties only for this specific work weekend.  Please do not jeopardize our relationship with the property owners by trespassing. Thank you for your cooperation.

Additional Work weekends:

**Please signup for as many or as few individual weekends you are able to work by the Wed prior to that weekend.  Work weekends are not mandatory however all help is appreciated.

To anyone attending May 20th-21st work weekend:

Road America will be quite busy this weekend.  We will still meet at gate 3 however please make sure you park off to the side of the entrance as to make sure vehicles can enter the Road America Grounds.  We will be meeting at 8am and should miss the busy traffic.

Thanks much!
See you all there!
