Many National Forests and Parks have increased fire restrictions in place with the very dry conditions across the West coast and central United States.
Visit the web site for your local National Forest or go here to click on the region to find the forest you plan on visiting.

Some or most of these restrictions are changing day by day depending on the conditions, and the weather in the area.

You can also visit this site to see were the current fires are.  This site is updated daily as new information is received.

Here is a site about fire and aviation management for the Forest Service.
